Fabric Care
Care instructions for nida, crepe, chiffon, satin trim, embellished, and travel abayas.
Good abaya care protects the drape, color, embroidery, and sleeve shape. Always check the product label first; the guidance below is the default Hoorain care standard.
Premium Nida
Dry clean preferred. Steam from the reverse side on low heat. Avoid direct iron contact on the outer face.
Matte Crepe
Gentle hand wash or dry clean. Hang dry away from direct sun to protect dark shades.
Chiffon & Organza
Dry clean only for layered or sheer pieces. Store flat or on a padded hanger to avoid snags.
Satin Trim
Steam lightly and avoid high heat on satin edges. Keep perfume and oils away from trim.
Embroidery
Dry clean only. Turn inside out before steaming and never scrub beads, pearls, crystals, or zari work.
Travel Crepe
Hang after unpacking and steam lightly. Fold with tissue paper for longer trips.
Storage
- Use padded hangers for premium, bridal, and embellished abayas.
- Keep black abayas away from long direct sunlight to reduce fading.
- Store occasion pieces in breathable garment covers rather than plastic.
- Let perfume dry before wearing; oils can mark satin, chiffon, and pearl details.
